Sortex Shape and color sorters have two regular sorting modes, they are normal sorting mode and reverse sorting mode. Both modes are used to separate the good materials from the raw mixture. Normal sorting mode is better for a mixture containing a high proportion of impurities. But the reverse sorting mode is suitable for mixtures containing a lower proportion of impurities. If used in conjunction with the hoist, we can use different sorting modes on the same color sorter twice.

 

Sortex Shape and Color Sorter is a complete sorting system and it requires all different components to work together. The machine contains more than 10 keys working system. They are feeding system, Photoelectric System, Sorting system, Electronic System, and Operating System.

 

  1. Feeding system. It consists of feeding hopper, vibrating feeder, and chute. The material to be sorted enters the vibrating feeder from the feeding hopper, and the materials are automatically arranged into a row of continuous linear beamlets through the vibration and guiding mechanism, and then accelerated by the trough and then thrown into the detection area of the photoelectric system at a constant speed. Inside, to ensure that the material to be screened is accurately presented in the optical zone and the spray zone.

Photoelectric system: The photoelectric system is the core part of the color sorter, which is mainly composed of a light source, a background plate, a digital camera, and related auxiliary devices. The light source provides stable uniform illumination of the material being tested and the background plate. The photo detector converts the reflected light of the material to be tested in the detection area into an electrical signal. The background plate provides a reference signal for the electronic control system, and its reflective characteristics are basically equivalent to the reflective characteristics of the qualified products and are largely different from the rejects.

 

Sorting system: The sorting system consists of auxiliary fittings, finished tanks, jet valves, air compressors, and filters. Pneumatic nozzles come standard with nearly 200 nozzles, caliber only 2-3mm, high resolution, long life, and precise injection.

 

Electronic control system: The electronic control system consists of signal conditioning components, timing components, and microcomputer control systems. The electronic control system amplifies the color difference voltage from the photovoltaic system and compares it with the set color difference threshold. The core technology is a product color tracking module to control the backlight brightness, dust cleaning and automatic correction of the optical system of the color sorter to track and reject different colors.

 

Operating system: The heterochromatic tracking software keeps track of the quality of the finished product, ensuring that the color sorter maintains performance stability even when it is continuously produced for a long time. The Chinese touch screen operator interface can retain more than 20 preset sample modes and save 100 user-confirmed sample modes, which can be completed instantly between sample modes.
